About · Enerquill Advisory
Independent judgment, industry-grade rigour.
The advisory work, the fiscal models, the training and the tools all draw on the same foundation — a career spent inside the investment decisions of two of the world’s largest energy companies, and on the government side that sets the terms they invest under.
Both sides of the table
Sameh Moawad has spent more than 25 years in global energy, on both the industry and the government side of the sector. At Fortune 500 companies including Shell and SLB (formerly Schlumberger), he shaped multi-billion-dollar investment decisions across oil & gas, LNG, hydrogen and renewables — as Shell’s Global Principal Economist and Technical Authority for valuations. He has also worked as a Policy Analyst at the Alberta Ministry of Energy.
His career spans strategic planning, commercial negotiations and fiscal advisory work across the Middle East, North America and globally — underpinned by decision analysis, financial modelling and the economics of the energy transition.
That experience is what the work rests on: the same discipline that supported sanction decisions inside the majors, applied to your assets, your fiscal regime and your team.
How we work
Three things that shape every engagement
01
Transparent by default
Every model we hand over is one your team can open, interrogate and defend — not a black box with an answer in it.
02
Uncertainty, quantified
Single-point estimates hide the decision. We work in ranges, drivers and probabilities, so the trade-offs are visible before capital moves.
03
Capability left behind
Advisory and training run together. The aim is a team that can do the next valuation without us.
Let’s talk about your decision
M&A screening, fiscal modelling, or building the capability in-house.
